THE NEW NORM“ AT MOUNTAIN MARINA
Covid-19
We Will be dealing with COVID-19 for quite some time and this will be the major factor of our ‘new norm’ on a daily basis. Mountain Marina want all our apartment owners, guests and fellow residents in the Marina Residential to understand what we are doing today and planning for in the near future in the areas of cleanliness, hygiene and social distancing. It is essential that our future guests know that when they arrive at Mountain Marina they can be assured of our commitment to their health and safety as our priority.
The following are protocols which Mountain Marina will implement within the next week to be ready for business operations once allowed.

We are working with our partners and suppliers to make sure our business can procure and use anti-bacterial products and PPE. We will use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses, including:
- Apartments : Cleaning and disinfecting procedures to clean apartments after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. This will include imported hi-tech electrostatic sprayers with disinfectant.
- Common Areas : The Home Owners Association have already implemented and increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public areas, with a focus on the apartment block lobby’s, elevators (elevator buttons) and door-handles.
- We are providing guests and staff with Hand Sanitizer that contains 75% Alcohol.
- “Back of House”: In the spaces where staff work “behind the scenes,” we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like staff entrances, canteen, laundry room and our offices
EVENT NOTIFICATION: If we are alerted to a case of COVID-19 in one of our apartments with a guest or a staff member, we will immediately inform the HOA and work with the relevant health authorities to obtain the facts and guidance on steps to take with both guests and staff. We will immediately undertake an additional cleaning and disinfecting protocol of the affected apartment as well as the areas we know the guest has been during their stay. In addition, we will seal the guest’s apartment (e.g., preventing entry by staff or others) and activate an apartment recovery procedure that is designed to disinfect everything in the entire apartment including sanitizing the air with an ionizer.
Mountain Marina has appointed a GP Doctor in the Waterfront for emergency testing and the implementation of an quick medical response. The company will pay the fees for staff to be tested and so expedite the correct preventative measures.
We will be training our housekeeping staff to use the disinfectants safely and correctly. Staff will wear gloves and masks when cleaning. Many of these cleaning products need to remain on hard surfaces for several minutes in order to get the most virus killing protection. Our schedule will emphasize routine cleaning and disinfection of all contact surfaces in the apartments such as television remote controls, toilet flush handles, door handles, water faucet handles, and flooring.
New signage is being made to remind guests and workers to wash hands with soap and warm water frequently, for at least 20 seconds each time. This includes the provision of alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 75% alcohol in all guest contact areas and to all staff. In addition, staff will be reminded not to touch their faces and to practice “social distancing” by standing at least three feet away from guests and other workers.
